State-owned organizations not allowed in Third Operator project

”The obligation for foreign investor partnership in Third Operator project has been lifted and only non-governmental organizations can participate in the project as contractors,” Ali-Asghar Yousefnejad told Mobna news agency.
”Subcontracting the project to organization totally or partially owned by Government is not allowed either,” he said.
According to the Foreign Investment Act and in order to ease the way for the transfer of foreign technology into Iran, a foreign investor in Third Operator is allowed up to 49 percent of the project.
