“The service was fully operational in Tehran, Gillan and Mazandaran provinces as well provincial centers and free trade zones such as Gheshm and Kish, and would be extended to other cities in due course,” he added.
He said MCI had 31.4 million subscribers of whom 16.4 million were postpaid sim card owners.
“The company’s BTS sites in the country are now 17,300 covering 37,000 km of major and country roads,” he said.
He said also that MCI had roaming link with GSM networks of 11 provinces which covered 25,000 villages.
