“The Iran-Iraq border is 900km long and the fiber-optic link between the two countries has been completely re-established,” Ahmad Pourangnia told Mobna news agency.
He said they were planning a more secure link by increasing international gateways.
“The Chabahar gateway will be operational soon and will be linked to the Falcon Network which is already linked to other networks,” Pourangnia added.
The authorities at the Communication Infrastructure Company had recently announced that their network capacity would be trebled by the end of the Fourth Economic Development Plan.
