Spadan WiMAX awaits go-ahead

“The project has been operational since May 22 but will be issued to applicants as soon as authorities give the go-ahead signal,” Shahram Setayeshi told Mobna news agency.
He said all the hardware have been installed and in the first phase of the operation 150,000 applicants would be issued the service.
WiMAX license was awarded to four companies around three years ago; IranCell was allocated six provinces, Mobinnet 30 provinces, Spadan the Esfehan Province and Rayaneh-e Golestan the Golestn Province.
The operators had been required to issue the service within nine months after receiving the license, and the Radio Communication and Regulations Organization has recently announced WiMAX tariffs.
