“As long as new TCI owners can handle the company and they are under no financial strain there is no reason to sell TCI shares to foreigners,” Seyyed Mostafa Seyyedhashemi told Mobna news agency.
“There had been talk about selling TCI shares to foreign investors, but ever since the cash payment of 20% of the purchase value, the matter has not been pursued,” he said.
When asked how technical knowledge would otherwise be passed on to TCI, he said they could get the knowledge from anywhere in the world by whatever means at their disposal.
Last October, 50% plus one of TCI shares were sold on bourse to Mobin Etemad Consortium, the highest trade on bourse’s history.
