“The disturbances may have been caused by some out-of-date equipment but not by below-standard equipment since they are not normally purchased by countries,” Davoud Zareian Told Mobna news agency.
He added that Chinese telecommunication equipment were used in over 120 countries where Chinese manufacturers had representatives.
“In 2009, Chinese companies exported nearly $40b worth of equipment of which not even one-tenth were exported to this country,” he added.
As for Iranian-produced telecommunication equipment, he said they were of accepted standard.
He believed that network disturbances in some districts of Tehran were caused by over-straining which TCI was trying to put right.
