75% of mobile accessories in Iran legal

“Because of low tariff on mobile set accessories, about 75% of such accessories are imported through legal channels,” Pedram Ilikayee told Mobna news agency.
“The accessories market is flourishing despite mobile market recession, ,” he added.
“The 25% import tariff on mobile set has proved profitable to smugglers since illegal activists own more than 95% of the market,” he said.
“Most authorized mobile importers only import mobiles in limited quantities,” he added.
“There is, alas, no independent authority to monitor the mobile market,” he said.
