“At present, we are in negotiation with Mehr Eghtesad Iranian Consortium to sell 12.5% of TCI 51% block share but the negotiation has not reached clear result,” Mohammad-Reza Modarres Khiabani told Mobna news agency.
“Also, some negotiation has taken place with Pishgaman Kavir Yazd Consortium for TCI shares but no final conclusion has yet been reached,” he said.
“Some other companies have also been negotiating for TCI shares,” he added.
Mehr Eghtesad Iranian and Pishgaman Kavir Yazd Consortia were the two rivals of Tose’eh Etemad Mobin Consortium in bidding for TCI block share.
Tose’eh Etemad Mobin Consortium purchased 50% plus one shares of TCI on Sep 27.
According to article 44 of the constitution, 80% of TCI block share has been assigned to the private sector and the remaining 20% to the government.
