“The committee is formed of 5 MPs who will review TCI share assignment,” Seyed Sharif Hoseini told Mobna news agency.
“It has a month to review doubts surrounding TCI share trade and the deadline is extendable,” he said.
“Parliament has the responsibility to monitoring reviews on TCI share trade,” he added.
“Governmental companies’ share assignments to non-governmental organizations, has created doubts on privatization procedure and they have to be reviewed,” an industries and mines committee member said.
The new committee members are head of new privatization law commission, head of Parliament telecommunication committee and three members of industries and mines committee.
TCI’s 50 percent plus one share were sold on bourse on Sep 27 to Tose’eh Etemad Mobin Consortium. It was the biggest trade in Tehran Bourse’s history and will no doubt bring about policy changes in TCI.
TCI share assignment to the semi-governmental consortium Tose’eh Etemad Mobin has brought many criticisms.
