“Looking at the current mobile market, if no control is exerted by the authorities concerned, the whole market will be swamped by smuggled handsets in months ahead,” managing director of Emad Semiconductors, Hamid-Reza Monji said.
Hyundai’s authorized agent in Iran announced.
“Large-scale sale of smuggled handsets takes place amid claims by authorized mobile importers that a good proportion of handsets on the market are those with valid warranties,” Monji whose company is Hyundai’s authorized agent in Iran added.
Emad Semiconductors has signed a contract with the ministry of industries and mines in April 2006 for annual manufacture of 2 million mobile handsets.
The company is engaged in Hyundai handset assembly in Iran.
