“The company intends to provide GPRS service to Ghazvin Province mobile phone subscribers so that they are able to connect to the internet through their mobile phones,” announced province’s telecom chief Jalal Pour-Shaaker in a company meeting.
He said an additional MSC system has been set up in the province, increasing its mobile phone capacity by 50,000, bringing the total capacity to 450,000.
He said 11 stations have been set up in the province to cover all locations, and 480 km (288 miles) of its highways and 840 km (504 miles) of its roads are now under mobile phone antenna coverage.
