“Telecommunication ministry has prepared spam (unsolicited advertisement sms) laws for parliament but the legislative body has not approved yet,” Ahmadreza Jahangiri told Mobna news agency.
“In current situation those who offend others by sending mobile phone spam, will be punished in accordance to Islamic penal code,” he added.
“According to Islamic penal code if persons intrude others via telecommunication device they are deemed as offenders and will be punished,” he said.
People can complain against those who have sent these sms and judiciary will punish spam senders.
