“”Defined access” or “Family” mobile phone service is currently being provided by some operators in some countries compels operators to provide service which are tuned to subscribers’ requirements,” a university professor Ramezan Ali Sadeghzadeh told Mobna news agency.
“The “Defined access” or “Family” mobile phone service will define the deterrent laws which are appropriate to mobile phone development,” he added.
“Subscribers access level in using mobile phone technology should be defined by operators. If one subscriber wants to install a restriction on his access level, the operator should be able to do so,” Sadeghzadeh added.
“Most parents in the world use this service in order to limit their childrens access,” he added.
“Subscriber using this service can provide some numbers to operator which he does not want the calls to be made to or sms to be received,” Sadeghzadeh added.
“Recently abuse of Bluetooth in public places has aroused peoples concern. Police confronts Bluejakcing to protect the sanctity fo the society,” he said.
Referring to a speech by Qom (Iran clerical center) Friday prayer leader that the mobile phone is a threat to family and public security, he said: “Each technology can be abused, and setting the right rules is needed.”
“In contrast with postpaid sim cards, prepaid sim cards have not a reliable owner and circulate between people and thus can pave the way for prank calls,” he added.
