”Selling off TCI block shares on Bourse and its privatization will not have a bearing on TCI tariffs,” Vafa Ghafarian told Mobna news agency.
”Change of tariffs has economic consequence and is constantly reviewed by TCI but its privatization will not have any effect on its tariffs,” he said.
”To change landline and mobile phone tariffs needs legislation, proposed by Government and approved by Parliament, and TCI has no plan for such a change,” he said.
The sale of 50 percent of TCI block shares is to be finalized on Aug 1 and this large state-owned company will be privatized.
So far 30 percent of TCI stocks have been given away either on Bourse, as Justice Shares or to TCI personnel.
Only 20 percent of TCI share will remain with Government.
