“MCI should adhere to its license quota and not go beyond it, although it could always apply for revision but that has not happened,” he added.
He also said that mobile operators could seek RCRO permission to collect sim cards that had not been activated for the past 2 years and only then would they be allowed to issue new sim cards within their quota.
MCI, IranCell-MTN, Taliya, Spadan and Kish mobile operators have so far issued nearly 75m sim cards in the country.
