“Iran tax affair organization currently is separating 140 unions in 14 groups frame, so that it can restudy the value added tax payment method,” Mohammad Azad told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
“If added value tax law is implemented only basic commodities will be exempt of tax payment, but VAT will be levied on the imported commodities,” he said.
“Only authorized mobile set importers will be the first loser of the implementation of this law, since paying this three percent profit is up to authorized companies,” Azad continued.
“By implementing properly this law mobile set smugglers can not sell their commodities in guild units since they should issue receipt when selling their products,” he asserted.
“Implementing value added tax law is a policy which governments consider in order to disappear income inequalities. According to tax system those who consume more should pay more tax,” he added.
In comparison critics say that implementing this law in current situation will lead to inflation and increasing prices.
